Data Discover is the central hub for exploring environmental sensor data in WildTrax. The revamped interface makes it easier than ever to search for data from ARUs, cameras, and point counts, using a variety of attribute filters, and create summary statistics within a dynamic mapping interface.
🔍 User-Friendly Navigation
Navigate Data Discover effortlessly:
- Filtering: Refine your search with the filter panel or select specific sensors.
- Location Insights: Obtain summaries for groups of by clicking on the icons on the map
- Layer Summary: Access entire layer summaries with just a click, bringing up the Summary Window.
🧩 Filter Panel
The Filter Panel offers various filters for a refined search. Search by taxonomic group (e.g., birds; cranes), species, organization, project, and specific date/time intervals.
🔄 Multiple layers
Explore data by creating up to five layers. Customize each layer by adding filters or searching an area of interest. Duplicate, delete, or hide layers for a tailored experience. For instance, you can duplicate a layer and then refine the search criteria even further in the filter panel. Easily toggle between base map views (light or satellite) in the top right.
🌍 Area of Interest Refinement
Use the polygon tool for precise geographic filtering in the top-right corner. Each layer supports one polygon, specific to that layer. Remove a polygon effortlessly by selecting and clicking the Garbage can icon.
📈 Insights in the Summary Window
Discover in-depth insights through two tabs:
- Summary Tab: Pie charts detail organizations, projects, and species. Bar charts illustrate tag counts across months and hours.
- Media Tab: Explore species tags with audio clips or images. ARU spectrogram displays frequency insights.
Don’t forget — you need to publish your project to share it publicly in Data Discover!
